Linlithgow Palace

I took this photo, looking through the window in what had been the cookhouse in Linlithgow Palace, birthplace of Mary, Queen of Scots.

Great idea! Inside looking out if ever I saw it - gives an instant prison-like impression, which may have been the case anyhow?

PS I love Scotland, the Scots, (and scotch, of course...)

This is wonderful. I wonder if it was as pastoral then? Great work. Thanks.

I forgot to tell you...my husband could not go with me because he has heart problems and the stairs would have been too much for him. He had not been long out of the hospital with CHF when we made the trip.
